The Graduate Student Parental Leave Financial Support Policy provides financial support to Department of Statistics graduate students taking an official parental leave of absence. At UBC, “A graduate student who is bearing a child or who has primary responsibility for the care of an infant or young child is eligible for parental leave.”
Graduate students in our programs eligible for parental leave at UBC can receive up to 12 months of financial support via a departmental award. Please see the official Policy and Application Form following documents for eligibility and information on how to apply.
